What does “IEC 61439 type-tested” mean and why does it matter?
A representative panel of the same design was physically tested at an independent laboratory (CPRI in Accu-Panels’ case) for short-circuit withstand, temperature rise, dielectric strength and degree of protection. “Compliant” or “as per IEC” without a test report does not prove the panel will survive a fault. What is the difference between PCC, MCC and PMCC panels?
A PCC distributes power from the transformer or DG set; an MCC starts, controls and protects motors; a PMCC combines both in one lineup for small and medium plants.
Which fault level (kA) should I specify?
The prospective short-circuit current at the panel incomer, calculated from transformer kVA and impedance. Accu-Panels offers 50 kA, 65 kA and 80 kA for 1 s busbar systems.
What are Forms 2b, 3b and 4b of internal separation?
IEC 61439-2 forms describe how busbars, functional units and terminals are separated. Form 2b separates busbars from units; 3b also separates units from each other; 4b additionally separates each unit’s terminals, allowing live maintenance.
Which IP rating do I need?
IP42 or IP54 for clean indoor electrical rooms, IP55 for dusty plants, IP65 for outdoor, washdown and solar sites (IEC 60529).
What is the typical delivery time for a panel?
2 to 4 weeks for standard AMF, changeover and distribution boards; 4 to 8 weeks for PCC and MCC panels; 6 to 12 weeks for drawout or intelligent MCCs, all counted from drawing approval.
Which documents are supplied with the panel?
Approved GA drawing, single-line diagram, schematics, bill of materials, routine test certificate per IEC 61439-1, warranty certificate and the type-test report reference.
Can we witness the factory acceptance test?
Yes. Dimensional check, BOM verification, functional and interlock tests, insulation resistance and the 2.5 kV dielectric test can be witnessed at our Ahmedabad works.
Do you offer drawout panels?
Yes. Drawout ACBs in PCC panels and fully drawout starter modules in MCC and IMCC panels, Form 4b.
What is an APFC panel and how is it sized?
An automatic power factor correction panel switches capacitor steps to hold power factor near 0.99. Required kVAr equals kW multiplied by (tan of the existing PF angle minus tan of the target PF angle); we size from your load survey. Range 20 to 3000 kVAr.
What is an 800 V LT panel?
A low-voltage switchboard rated for the 800 V AC output of string inverters in MW-scale solar plants. Every breaker, busbar and SPD is rated and type-tested for 800 V.
What is the difference between solar ACDB and DCDB?
The DCDB or array junction box protects PV strings on the DC side with gPV fuses, surge protection and a DC isolator; the ACDB protects, meters and isolates the inverter output on the AC side.
What warranty do Accu-Panels panels carry?
Standard workmanship warranty of 12 months from commissioning or 18 months from dispatch, whichever is earlier, with switchgear covered by the manufacturer’s warranty; extended terms are available on request.

Yes. CE-marked panels are supplied to Africa and other international markets with seaworthy packing, export documentation and remote commissioning support.
